Matt,
I really can't say anything about the DW stuff because I'm not familiar with it other than looks.
I can say that I think the Yamaha hardware, meaning drum hardware, kit hardware and stands etc. are really great! Can you make a comparison between the Yammie stuff and DW?

Mikey, As far as Yammie hardware I did a lot of research when I was going to buy. I found for what I wanted DW was the best value for my money. I've used some Yamaha hardware and I was not impressed. Not to say they don't make great stuff but for what I was looking for I went with DW.

This is a side note DW is all made in the USA. I am a UAW member and want to keep Americans working so please keep that in mind.

I really like the DW pedals... I have had the same 5000 double chain pedal for 10 years... As for my cymbal stands, I have always used 60's ludwig flat base stands... cheap, light, and I like the way it looks with my 60's ludwigs.

yeah, I have a snare stand, it is nice. I'm just too cheap to replace my other stands because they still work fine.
