Sounds kind of dirty doesn't it?
What these are is basically a replacement for the cymbal top-side felt and wingnut used to secure the cymbal to the stand.
What's slick about them is that you merely push a button on the side of this cylinder shaped device and place ont top of the cymbal and then release the button. It has the felt glued to the bottom of it so it replaces the one you're using now, or you can just place it ove the exisiting felt.
Makes install, remove really fast. Once you take the cymbal off, just slide the slick nut back over the shaft and you're done.
Another cool thing is there's an allen screw in the side of it that you can tighten if desired to prevent removal and this makes the cymbal secure to the stand. A theif would have to take the entire stand to get the cymbal. (harder to hide under your coat I guess.
Anyway, there ARE slick but they cost about $8.25 each. I just bought 7 for my NDC Kit.

Look at the bottom of the page.
If you want to see them in action, drop by the California Brew Haus on March 7th from 9-2. We'll be playing there with three other bands. Looks to be a great night.
BTW, sorry for combining posts.
